Coral wall art puts the underwater world where it can be looked at every day: ceramic forms built by hand to read as reef coral, glazed in yellow-orange, light blue, teal, pink and green, and mounted flat on a single small screw. Like every Chive flower, the colour is fused into the glaze at kiln temperature, so the piece on the wall in year ten is the piece that came out of the box. Where the flower collections argue in bloom, this one argues in structure — branching, folded, fanned.

The collection is made to hang alone or in a drift — three pieces climbing a stairwell, one over a doorway, a cluster in a bathroom that finally has an excuse. It mixes with the flower collections the way a reef mixes with anything: on colour first, on form second. Ships from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. No duties within the EU.

Ocean Wall Art

Ocean wall art usually means a print of water. Ceramic coral is the ocean's structure instead of its surface — dimensional, shadowed, and specific to one reef that never existed until it was built by hand. A single piece over a console reads as sculpture; a drift of five up a wall reads as the sea seen from below. Ocean wall decor that came out of a kiln rather than a printer holds its colour for decades. The tide is optional.

Coral Decor

Coral decor has a bad habit of being either the real thing, which belongs in the sea, or resin, which belongs nowhere. Ceramic is the honest third option: hand-built, hand-glazed, permanent, and taking nothing from a reef. Coral home decor in this range is glazed in the colours a reef actually shows — yellow-orange, teal, pink, green, light blue — not the single salmon that the word coral has come to mean on paint charts.

What is coral wall art?

Coral wall art is a wall piece shaped like reef coral — in this collection, hand-built ceramic glazed in yellow-orange, light blue, teal, pink and green, mounted on one screw. It is sculpture first and decoration second, and it takes nothing from a living reef.

Is this real coral?

No — every piece is ceramic, built by hand and fired in a kiln. Real coral belongs in the sea; resin belongs nowhere. Ceramic coral is the honest version: permanent, dimensional, and glazed in reef colours.

What is coral reef art?

Coral reef art represents the structure of a reef — branching, folded and fanned forms — rather than a picture of water. Ceramic reef pieces hung in a drift give a wall the same layered depth a reef has from above.

How do you hang ceramic coral?

One small screw per piece, the same keyhole mount as every Chive flower. Hardware included; about ninety seconds each. Cluster three or five for a drift, or hang one where a wall wants exactly one thing.

What is under the sea decor for adults?

Under the sea decor grows up when it stops being a theme and becomes a palette and a form — teal, light blue, pink, yellow-orange, and coral shapes in a real material. Ceramic coral is the version that does not read as a nursery.

Is ceramic coral a good alternative to faux coral decor?

Yes — faux coral decor is usually resin cast from a mold; ceramic coral is built by hand and glazed, so each piece differs and the surface has real depth. It is the difference between a copy and an object.

Where does underwater wall art work in a home?

Bathrooms, obviously, and then everywhere the flower collections go: above a sofa, up a stairwell, over a bed. The glaze is kiln-fired and indifferent to humidity, which is why the bathroom wall finally gets art.

Which Chive collections does Coral mix with?

All of them — on colour first. Teal and light blue sit next to the Coastal ivories; pink and yellow-orange next to the France blushes; green next to the English Garden jades. The one-screw mount is shared across the range.
