October Birth Flower: Marigold and Cosmos
October has two birth flowers: the marigold and the cosmos. The marigold is the flower of Día de los Muertos, revered since the Aztecs; the cosmos takes its name from the Greek word for order and harmony. Between them, October's pair covers fire and calm in equal measure.
